As a hunter, Violet is used to running face first into danger. Werewolf? No problem. Curses? She's had dozens. Angry Spirits? At least one a month. Her transphobic mother? Three escape plans and a distraction. So when she begins to pick up on signals that one of her favorite authors, Scarlet Moreau, is being stalked by a vampire, she can hardly resist being the one to save her.

Unfortunately, it seems she's a few centuries too late. Not only is Scarlet already a vampire, she's also utterly hopeless, harmless and an absolute disaster.
