I am glad I returned to this books, I adore TK's writing and the world she has built around Easton. Such wonderful characters and turns of phrases in such short stories, it is quite rewarding. I could almost see this as a kind of 19th century Central European X-Files. My only regret is I am unable to visit this sad little country on account of its fictionality.
