. A good book. Or a bad book. For some reason I read this book and I thought of Iris Murdoch. Although the cast of characters isn't the same, there is still a very English style behind the writing. Unfortunately the characters are both appalling and appallingly familiar. It's rather like reading old diaries when you were living with obnoxious roommates; you laugh in recognition, then you start to get annoyed, and then finally you wish you could stop reading because stupid things happen for such base and petty reasons.
