prayers not meant for heaven

These prayers were never meant to ascend. Some of the poems are praises to the divine residing within and around us; others are devotions to our imperiled planet. May they reverence the vital and the spectral. May they be rooted in the inseparable aspen grove of life. May they travel along the earth like vines and leave us more radically connected, more lovingly and knowingly intertwined.
