The actual comic part of this was incredible, but the amount of un-illustrated historical material at the end really feels like two different books have been put into a single publication. I think I would've liked both very much if published separately, but picking up a comic and getting a 19th century primary source document makes it feel like a bit of a slog at the end.

A huge part of why this is taking me so long is that I hate the narration. Name pronounciation in particular has been excruciating. The actual content of the book has been excellent, though, and I still intend to finish this year.

Some of the read dates I've put on books in this series are a little fake because I forgot to log them contemporaneously, but this one is the fakest.
I have no idea when I read this but it was SO good I remember many details and am one thousand percent sure I did read it, likely at around the right spot in the sequence. (I did read two in the wrong order because I'd accidentally skipped one, but I fixed it right after!)
