I really can't decide how I feel about this one... many of the individual comics are very cute but the order is a bit chaotic, the book doesn't flow, and at times they seem pretentious when collated and read together. I don't think I want to dnf but I might need to read it in smaller chunks than I have been?

Hi! I'm one of the admins here, and I like to read all sorts of things! Non-fiction graphic novels are my favorite, but I also like YA SFF quite a bit, and enjoy exploring other things besides.

The actual comic part of this was incredible, but the amount of un-illustrated historical material at the end really feels like two different books have been put into a single publication. I think I would've liked both very much if published separately, but picking up a comic and getting a 19th century primary source document makes it feel like a bit of a slog at the end.

Wyrm Theyfriend commented on Why?: What Makes Us Curious by Mario Livio
A huge part of why this is taking me so long is that I hate the narration. Name pronounciation in particular has been excruciating. The actual content of the book has been excellent, though, and I still intend to finish this year.

Wild to get a musical episode in a horror erotica series, but I really enjoyed the style divergence. It was also such a fun way to reinforce the main parties' roles in the central conflict, and really helped the metaplot start coming together for me!

Some of the read dates I've put on books in this series are a little fake because I forgot to log them contemporaneously, but this one is the fakest.
I have no idea when I read this but it was SO good I remember many details and am one thousand percent sure I did read it, likely at around the right spot in the sequence. (I did read two in the wrong order because I'd accidentally skipped one, but I fixed it right after!)
