"Look at you, eating magic like you're one of us."

Doctor Walden is the Director …

I learned about this book just this morning, thanks to an interview with Tesh on Nerds of a Feather. I am a huge fan of her Hugo-winning "Some Desperate Glory" so this was a no-brainer to pick up, and since I had a flight to PyCon today, I started and finished it on the plane.

It's a good, fun read; it's a magical school fantasy, told from the perspective of a faculty member, in a modern world "plus"; it's got good relationships, a hint of darkness, and some really dry humor. It leaves one bit of motivation hanging, I think, that I'd like to have had cleared up, but otherwise ties things up in a satisfying way. Definitely worth a read!
