I know it’s not deep and insightful and it’s not Alison Bechdel, but damned if I didn’t love this book. It’s got Ariel Scrag references. Middle School lunch boxes. She is thrilled when she gets to wear prescription glasses for the first time!

This is like any Mark Miller plot: there are sexy antiheroes who kill each other without too much regret or fuss, and then they talk about why they’re the good guys.
The one thing you will never find in a Miller story is an idea that says maybe the people with the most power aren’t right. It’s not Warren Ellis, it’s not Hickman. It’s a simple and pure white crystal lie. So I’m a bit grossed out.

It's Mark Miller Lite, but the artwork is great and it looks like The Magicians only with an actual budget.
