This was WAY better than I expected...I took it out from the library because it had a weird title, and if it was boring I could just return it, but it was fascinating.

I loved how thoroughly the author considered the rise of international trade, capitalism, religion, and social forces on our schedules of recurring events. It's so much fun when somebody writes a well-balanced deep dive into an extremely specific topic ✨
